Student highlights:


Scott

Lauren A. Scott, daughter of Bruce and Jill Scott of Taylor, was awarded her medical degree May 31 at the 118th commencement of the School of Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Scott is a 2000 graduate of Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi and a 2004 graduate of Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y.


Zucknick

Paul Edward Zucknick received his master’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas at Austin May 17.

He previously received his bachelor’s in electrical and computer engineering, also from the University of Texas at Austin.

He graduated as valedictorian from Taylor High School in 2002. He is the son of David and Mary Ann Zucknick, grandson of Edward and the late Eminelle Zucknick and Lillie and the late John Jansky, all of Taylor.


Littlejohn

James Merriell Littlejohn of Taylor was awarded a bachelor of business administration degree during commencement exercises at the University of Mississippi in Oxford.


Pick

Lauren Meredith Pick of Taylor graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University May 29 with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism. To qualify for magna cum laude status, Pick maintained a 3.7 to 3.899 grade point average throughout her years at TCU.

Pick also was named to the TCU Scholars list for the spring semester, earning a 4.0 GPA, and she earned a spot on the Dean’s List for maintaining at least a 3.4 GPA.


Watson

Candace Michelle Watson of Hutto received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University May 29. She majored in communication studies, human relations.
