Heather Hegar crowned Taylor Rodeo queen Heather Hegar was named the 2008-2009 Rodeo Queen during Saturday night’s performance of the Taylor Rodeo. Hegar is a sophomore at Taylor High School. She is a member of HOSA, a two-time member of world finalist Odyssey of the Mind teams and participates in the THS Silver Cord program, which recognizes volunteer service. She is also a THS cheerleader. She is the daughter of Justin Hegar and Cheryl Hegar and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bucanek of Taylor and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Hegar of Thorndale. Hegar attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Taylor. She enjoys activities such as swimming and fishing, and she also loves to travel and spend time with her family. After graduating from THS, she plans to attend Mary-Hardin Baylor University and then to to medical school to become a pediatrician.
