On the road parallel to the E17 in Zwijndrecht, a motorcycle and a car collided head-on at a bend on Sunday evening. Mottard, a 40-year-old man from the district of Liebeck, was killed.
The blow was very heavy. Motard, who was driving in the direction of Krupikki, was thrown a few meters and died on the spot. The driver of the car was slightly injured and left in shock. How the accident happened is still under investigation, but it is possible that one of the drivers involved may have swerved. A traffic expert will have to determine if there is excessive speed.
The road was closed in both directions for several hours due to the accident. The place where the accident occurred is a temporary road that will be moved and widened a few meters in the future. There are a number of bends and differences in elevation and there is concrete jersey on either side, meaning there is hardly any chance of dribbling. That is why there is a ban on overtaking and a speed limit of 50 km / h.
