It was very turbulent all morning in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary group led by Gen. Hemedti, occupies the presidential palace in the capital and the airport. They also say they control “bases in different provinces”.

The Rapid Support Forces accuse the army of attacking their bases this morning. On the other hand, the army claims that it was the RSF that tried to attack its headquarters. The paramilitary organization is led by General and Vice President Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo. Analysts believe the militia numbers 100,000 fighters with bases across the country. Medical sources reported three deaths. An officer was said to have been killed in a suburb of Khartoum, and two civilians were killed at the capital’s airport. Two civilian aircraft were also badly damaged at the airport. The Egyptian airline “EgyptAir” and the airline “Saudi Arabia” have suspended their flights to Khartoum.
