Big news about Google’s new foldable smartphone. The manufacturer will soon release the Google Pixel Fold and we will now find out more specifications thanks to the leak.
Recently, we’ve been hearing a few things about the new foldable Google Pixel Fold, and now it’s no different. The manufacturer is in the news with the phone, we’re seeing new photos and hearing the specs.
The information comes from Jon Prosser, a well-known source in the communications world. It opens a brochure in the YouTube video, which we put together for you above. We’ll explain a few things.
According to the source, we can expect the first teaser from Google itself next week. Prices seem to start at $1,800 for the foldable, and we might be able to expect a free set of Pixel Buds or, in some countries, a Pixel Watch.
The Google Pixel Fold will be powered by the company’s Tensor G2 chipset, coupled with 12GB of RAM. Up front, we expect a 5.8-inch OLED display with Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. When opened, a 7.6-inch OLED panel appears. It offers a resolution of 2208 x 1840 pixels and also has a refresh rate of 120Hz.
With a thickness of 25 mm and a weight of 283 grams, the device is quite large in terms of weight and size. The main camera is 48MP (f/1.7) and is aided by a 10.8MP wide-angle and 10.8MP telephoto lens. There is optical image stabilization (OIS), 5x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom. There will also be a 10MP selfie lens.
With a few weeks left until the announcement, we already have a complete picture of the new Pixel Fold. We’re also expecting the new Pixel 7a and possibly its own tablet from the Pixel line in May, during Google I/O. DroidApp will keep you updated.
