Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline, an original from Ubisoft, is a free to play PvP shooter game set in the world of Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon Frontline will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Luna, Stadia and Ubisoft Connect for Windows PC with full cross-play at game launch. Players are already registering for the first test phase from October 14 to 21 via ghostreconfrontline.com.
Ghost Recon Frontline is developed by Ubisoft Bucharest, the studio that has also worked on Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Ghost Recon Frontline offers a new, never-before-seen way for players to explore the world of Ghost Recon, with a free-to-play first-person PvP experience with over 100 players simultaneously.
Players will discover Drakemoor Island, an open world filled with many landmarks and biomes. The game comes with a plethora of tactical tools, giving players complete freedom in all game modes. Expedition, the main game in the game, takes the battle royale genre to a whole new level with a whole new angle. Over 100 players form teams of three in a huge open map with no shrinking circle. These teams must work together to gather the correct information, after which they must travel together to the drop zone to summon the extraction. Once the latter is successful, all teams will be notified of the extraction location and it will be up to them to step in. Players must go tactically ahead to successfully escape and thus win. Other game modes will be introduced at launch.
Ghost Recon Frontline also comes with a unique and advanced class system that allows players to upgrade and customize each contractor according to their strategy. During the first closed test, three classes are available:
- Assault Class offers many advantages in close combat and general skill maneuvers.
- The support class offers benefits in the form of superior protection with reinforcement options.
- The Scout class can easily explore the area for the squad and detect and harass enemies from a distance.
Players can switch between different contractors in the heat of battle, making each game very unique and tactical.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Ghost Recon series, players will download the first game in the series, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon, for free on Ubisoft Connect. In addition, Fallen Ghost DLC is free for all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands players and Deep State Adventure DLC is free for all Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint players on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Stadia and Windows PC via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store until October 11.
The first closed test of Ghost Recon Frontline will be released on October 14 for PC gamers in Europe. For the latest game news, testing, and information, visit: ghostreconfrontline.com.
