Another hunter’s tale released, originally coming to PS VR2 – It’s Games

Today, Vertigo Games, the publishing and development arm of the PLAION Group, and developer InnerspaceVR are proud to release yet another Fisherman’s Tale, the sequel to the popular A Fisherman’s Tale, for PS VR2, Meta Quest 2, and all PC VR platforms.

To celebrate the announcement, Vertigo and InnerspaceVR simultaneously announced the imminent arrival of the original A Fisherman’s Tale for PS VR2, which will launch later this year. Moreover, they have also shared a new launch trailer for Another Fisherman’s Tale, which showcases the game’s innovative VR mechanics, exotic marine settings, and lifelike characters. So grab your rod, bait your hook, and cast your line for another fisherman’s tale today!

Another hunter’s tale has been developed from the ground up to maximize the potential of modern VR technology, revamping the gameplay of its predecessor: this time, the player’s body is the key to solving the puzzles, using unconventional mechanics that are generated based on the disassembly and reconstruction of their game form. Players take on the role of Nina, the daughter of the game’s original protagonist, as she discovers models, notes, and photographs documenting her father’s mysterious past and childhood. Reminiscent of Bob De Visser’s great tales of pirates, sunken ships, treasures and mysterious locations, Nina begins to reenact his adventures and plunges into an imaginary world of memory and imagination. Will she be able to separate fact from fiction and discover the hidden truth behind the hunter’s story?

Another fisherman’s tale is the sequel to A Fisherman’s Tale, winner of “Best VR Game of the Year” at AIXR 2019, “Best Interactive Content” and “Best Immersive Action” at Munich Virtual Worlds 2019, “Best XR Experience for the Games Industry” at Virtuality 2019, and “Best Interactive VR Project” at the 2019 Lumiere Awards, and “Best Story & Storytelling” at Game Connection America 2019. It means building and rebuilding ourselves across time and space.
