It’s not going well for Armie Hammer. The actor, who was accused of cannibalism and sexual assault last year, is totally down to earth. The family of Armie, who is the grandson of oil tycoon and billionaire Armand Hammer, has cut all ties, leaving the actor with a financial hangover.
To earn some money, Hammer works as a janitor at a resort in the Cayman Islands. There will also be a so-called Accommodations by time Sales, where different buyers buy a vacation home together and then take turns staying there.
At first, Hammer’s lawyer denied this news for the first time, but the actor was clearly identified in a post from Morritt’s Resort on social media. When asked again, Andrew Brettler replied via email to People magazine: “I can’t confirm or deny whether the news is true. I don’t know anything about this. And if it’s true, why drag him in the mud for a regular job?” I don’t see the value of the news.” An anonymous source inside the resort has now confirmed that the 35-year-old actor is indeed working there.
And this is necessary because, according to the American magazine Variety, the former actor will have serious financial problems. His family withheld the funds after far-reaching allegations of sexual assault and cannibalism at the end of 2020. The “Call Me By Your Name” actor was also accused of raping a woman with whom he had a short affair, but Hammer did so. Always denied this.
In 2021, Hammer voluntarily entered rehab, which was never specified, and after his treatment he found temporary shelter with fellow actor Robert Downey Jr. The latter never hid the fact that he had been suffering from various kinds of addictions in the past. The “Iron Man” star could have supported him financially for a while.
But now Hammer had moved back to the Cayman Islands and would focus on his job and his two children: Harper Grace (7) and Ford Armand Douglas (5). They also live on the islands with their mother Elizabeth Chambers, Hammer’s ex-wife.
