ASRock puts the specs for the first X670E motherboard online

Asrock has the specifications of the upcoming X670E Taichi motherboard put online† Taichi will be the top model of Asrock’s lineup of AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU motherboards.

The X670E Taichi has an AM5 socket with Ryzen 7000 support; Just like any other X670E motherboard. The socket is powered by 26 VRM stages. There are also four DDR5 memory slots and two PCIe 5.0 slots (one with 16 threads and one with 8).

For storage, Taichi has space for four 2 hard drives. One of them is pcie 5.0, which Asrock calls “Blazing”. The other three are “Hyper” or PCie 4.0. There are also eight SATA 3.0 ports.

In terms of USB ports, the motherboard follows all the standards: on the back there are two USB-c (Thunderbolt 4) ports, eight “regular” USB ports, five of which are USB 3.2 Gen2 and three USB 3.2 Gen1. For a potential front panel, there are connections for one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 (USB-c) port and four other USB 3.2 Gen1 ports.

Asrock has also built in some useful features for gamers. For example, a 2.5 Gb/s LAN port and WiFi (6E) can work together for higher bandwidth. Network-intensive applications (such as games) automatically use the fastest and most stable connection, generally a LAN connection. There are also two Lightning Gamer ports: two USB ports connected to a different console (USB and PCIe), which should provide lower latency.

Asrock announced its upcoming X670E lineup of motherboards late last month. In addition to the Taichi, there will be the X670E Taichi Carrara, the X670E Steel Legend and the X670E PRO RS. The X670 and B650 “non-E” motherboards have yet to be announced.
