ASUS ROG Ally was announced with the Ryzen Z1 Extreme earlier this week. This powerful mobile device will be released in Europe on June 13th for €799 and is now available for pre-order at Bol.com And cool blue. In addition, the company will launch a cheaper version powered by the regular Ryzen Z1 engine in the third quarter. It is still not known what this model will cost in Europe, but its price in the US is $ 599 ($ 699 for the Z1 Extreme).

ASUS has equipped ROG Ally with a 7-inch LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, and 7ms response times. AMD FreeSync Premium should prevent tearing, reduce image jitter, and fix choppy images at unstable frame rates.

Under the hood of the most expensive ASUS ROG Ally we find the Ryzen Z1 Extreme apu. The configuration consists of 8 Zen 4 cores, 16 threads with turbo 5.1GHz, RDNA 3 GPU with 12 compute units for a total of 768 stream processors and a maximum speed of 2.7GHz. Support is provided for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) to improve performance.
The mobile device runs on Windows 11, which means you can access your entire PC game library. ASUS ships Rog Ally with three months of free Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to hundreds of titles that can be played locally or via the cloud.
The system has 16GB of LPDDR5 memory (6400MB/s) and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD for fast load times. A microSD card slot provides the ability to expand storage capacity. In terms of connectivity, there is support for USB-C 3.2, Wi-Fi 6e, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
You can also connect the system to a TV using the ROG 65W Gaming Charger Dock (optional). ROG Gaming Charger Dock also allows you to connect a keyboard and mouse via USB-A and simultaneously charge the device via USB-C, allowing you to play games smoothly on the big screen. And if that wasn’t enough, there’s the ROG XG Mobile, which boosts Ally’s performance by pairing a laptop’s Nvidia GPU (up to an RTX 4090) with the hardware. This allows gamers to enjoy higher resolutions, frame rates, and ray tracing games.
