An American trip that changed her life. Marina Zaniewska descended on Indian Wells last week and returned with a bag full of emotional events.
The Belgian played a strong match in the first round of the first tournament. In the match against Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk – Zanevska was also born in the affected country – the result was in fact secondary.

The war situation also had personal consequences for Zaniewska. The tennis star usually gets married in her native Ukraine. But look, after she was eliminated, Zaniewska automatically left for Las Vegas with her German partner Philip Andreas Schmidt to tie the knot.

“We got married on Sunday, March 13th, exactly two years after we closed together,” Zaniewska continues. “We will definitely remember this wild day for a long time and we have something to say to our children.”
