Bicycle transfers: David Decker will go fast for Arkia Samsik | Cycling

Dutchman David Decker switches from Jumbo-Visma to Arkéa-Samsic. He will be teammates with Jenthe Biermans and Amaury Capiot with the French team.

The 24-year-old sprinter, son of former pro Eric Decker, has yet to win any professional victories. Last year, he was close to the UAE Tour (second in stage one and four) and the Dutchman also took the podium at Le Samyn (third in 2020).

After two seasons at Sport Vlaanderen-Baloise, Jens Reynders upped his transfer. Our 24-year-old has signed a one-year contract with Israel-Premier Tech.

Reynders showed himself this year at the Paris-Roubaix, riding alone on the stones. But a punctured tire (117 km from the finish line) threw a wrench into the works.

“Genes will be joining our team for the classics,” says athletic director Rick Verbruggi. “He will drive for our leaders, but he will be given more responsibility in these types of competitions. In smaller competitions he can drive at his own expense.”

Dutchman Sjoerd Bax has a new employer in the package. He will play with the UAE national team for the next two seasons.

Bucks is 26 years old and recently won his first professional race: the Agustoni Cup. He became the first Dutch national to be paid a salary in the United Arab Emirates. He answers: “I am very happy.” “I am curious how much I can improve with the support of a world class team.”

So far Bucks has been driving to Alpecin-Deceuninck but his contract there has expired.
