MovieBig difference with “The Mummy” and “George of the Jungle”. Actor Brendan Fraser, 53, will be returning soon in The Whale, in which he plays a 200-pound man.
Fraser plays a lonely teacher, Charlie, in The Whale, who wants to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter. The story is based on the 2012 play Samuel D. Hunter, and directed by Darren Aronofsky for the big screen.

Although Fraser says he’s no longer in as good shape as he was during his early years, he hasn’t gained a hundred kilograms for the role. “The costume was very elaborate. It took hours to get it on.” “Very complicated. But the outcome may be there. This will be a movie you have never seen before. And not to brag, but I am sure it will make a deep impression.”
His costume is already making a deep impression, because the first photos of Brendan in The Whale are circulating on the Internet. No wonder, because the guy seems almost unknown.
