There is no doubt that Corona will play a role because many projects have been canceled and postponed. But the numbers on the table are tough and confrontational. Harry and Meghan Markle raised much less money than they had hoped for from their charity Archewell. Even worse, they spent more on lawyers than coming in.

Harry and Meghan received congratulations from all sides when they launched the Archewell charity. They felt they had to give something back to society. Especially for those who are less fortunate. They raise money for charities through all kinds of events, but also through donations from generous sponsors. It could be anything.

But publicly disclosed documents now show that they raised just under $50,000, just under €45,000, in 2020. A ridiculously small amount, especially because they were almost certain they would be able to attract enough sponsors in their name. . not like that.

Even worse, their new organization had to dissolve the original Sussex Royal UK Foundation. It appears to have gone less smoothly than they had hoped. They even spent more money, $55,600, on attorneys and other legal fees than they collected.

However, there was more money in the treasury of the Sussex Royal UK Foundation. But when they left Great Britain and the new foundation was set up, that piggy bank remained in Great Britain and no money was transferred to Harry and Meghan’s new foundation. Not even a portion of the money.

Their new establishment caused controversy from the start. Things will not get better now.
