Fractal Design has announced two new variants within its Meshify 2 attachment series. The Compact Lite and Compact RGB have the same dimensions as the regular Meshify 2 Compact, but serve slightly different target groups.
The Meshify 2 Compact Lite is just like Previous Lite versions Streamlined interior, for example by making room for only two 3.5″ and 2.5″ storage drives. Furthermore, there is an option to mount seven 120mm fans or four 140mm fans and two 120mm fans in the chassis. The case comes with two 140mm fans in the front and one 120mm fan in the back.
Just like the regular Compact, the Meshify 2 Compact RGB has room for a total of six storage drives and swaps the reset button on the front panel of the “RGB Controller”. The RGB variant comes with three 120mm fans in the front and one 120mm fan in the back. This version also has room for up to seven 120mm fans or four 140mm fans and two 120mm fans. Unlike the Lite variant, the Compact RGB has a removable top plate that allows relatively easy access to installed hardware and cables.
In terms of design and size, all of the built-in variants of Meshify 2 are the same. For example, ATX, mATX and mini-ITX motherboards are cabinet compatible and the front panel is covered in feature Network-gauze. There is also room for the GPU up to 345mm in length and the height of the CPU cooler can be as high as 169mm.
