A heavy fire destroyed the east of the Italian capital, Rome. There are said to be frequent explosions and residents are being asked to close all windows and even wear face masks.

A thick cloud of black smoke is currently visible in Rome, which witnessed the fourth fire in less than a month. This time the flames can be seen in Centocelle Park, an area with many car wrecks. Two adjacent apartment buildings had to be evacuated and streets in the area were closed to traffic. Residents are being asked to wear face masks if they have to go outside as the smoke can be toxic.

According to the Italian newspaper, the fire Il Messaggero It is fueled by the strong winds that have been blowing over the city since yesterday. At least 100 firefighters and 50 vehicles are on site in addition to the police. At any given time, the black cloud can be seen in various parts of the city, including the Colosseum and Circus Maximus where the Manskin concert will be held in front of an audience of about 70,000 people.

There have already been many fires in Rome, which makes the police think about the mania with fires. According to Claudio Mancini, an MP for the center-left Parteto Democracy party, the police must now find out if it was a single person or a gang.
