Honor Magic 5 series with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 unveiled

Today at MWC, Honor announced its upcoming flagship phones, the Magic 5 series, with the theme “Unleash the Magic”. In all respects, these new models offer great value for money, which is something that Honor is known for. We are happy to explain all the new models in this series.

Magic 5 Pro

The phone has a very distinctive and beautiful design with a circular central camera bump. Honor calls this design “Star Wheel Triple Camera”, and it’s really eye-catching.

The smartphone is curved for a comfortable grip – with thin, symmetrical double curved edges. Plus, the Magic 5 Pro has an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, like all the best Android phones. It is available in five color options: Glacier Blue, Meadow Green, Coral Purple, Orange, and a classic shade of black.

At the heart of the Magic 5 Pro, we have a beautiful 6.81-inch LTPO display. The screen comes with a new technology that ensures that your eyes do not get tired when using it, especially at night. Dynamic dimming technology simulates natural light, so your eyes won’t get tired when reading an article or watching a video. Magic 5 Pro has a new technology that ensures viewing comfort – it changes the color of the screen to reduce the impact on sleep. It also simulates the dynamic changes of natural light.

Honor says the Pro also took first place in DXOMARK’s rankings for world cameras, with a score of 152 points. The camera has a larger sensor size to get better shots in different lighting conditions. The zoom camera is supported by Ultra Fusion Computational optics, which is essentially an algorithm that improves image clarity at 3.5x-100x zoom.

You can tell that Honor knows how to brag when it comes to great camera performance, and these specs are really impressive on paper. We’ll have to wait and see for ourselves to confirm that the phone is indeed capable of delivering such results, but it all looks very promising.

to set

The Honor Magic 5 Pro comes with the industry-leading second generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 chipset. Honor has a dedicated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth antenna infrastructure, which the company says improves Wi-Fi performance by 200% and reduces latency by 30%.

Magic 5 Pro comes with a large 5100mAh battery. Honor also introduced its pioneering silicon and carbon battery technology. According to the company, this technology allows for 12.8% more battery. For charging, the 5 Pro supports a wired 66W Honor SuperCharge and a 50W wireless charger.

The Pro also joins the Magic 5. It features an ultra-thin design and the same curved display with eye-comfort technology as the Pro. Honor Magic 5 has a 54MP main camera (the phone comes with a triple camera system), which also supports Falcon Camera algorithm just like its big brother. Also under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.

Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro both run MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13.
