“I’m doing better. I can actually laugh, but it hurts me so much,” says the presenter, who is still in full rehabilitation. “That will take six weeks or so. He told Peter van de Veer and Kim van Onsen that it was my rib that hurt the most. Wes is well aware that he was very lucky. “Witnesses said my helmet was broken on the side, so I would like to make a plea for a helmet. I already did, but I will certainly continue to do so. Otherwise it might be a different story.”
Two weeks ago, the presenter had a bad fall with his bike and ended up in the hospital. At the time of the accident, he was on his way to Arenbergschouwburg. “After the fall I was unconscious for a while. I broke four ribs and broke my collarbone. I would have to take cycling lessons,” Weiss said at the time. He underwent surgery at AZ Monica in Antwerp.
This is not the first time Tom has suffered serious injuries after a fall. In 2020, he was involved in a motorcycle accident, in which his cruciate ligaments and meniscus were torn. Until then he had to go under the knife. Two years earlier, he had a bad bike fall in Spain. At that time, he had a broken collarbone.
