PropertySpain’s King Felipe, 54, and Queen Letizia, 49, explored the island of Mallorca with their daughters, Leonor, 16, and Sophia, 15. The family visited a monastery together, where, according to local media, they acted like “real tourists”. The Spanish king and his family spend their holidays every year in Mallorca, where they own a country house.

They were greeted by local authorities and residents, but the royal family still experienced their visit to the monastery in Valldemossa as if they were ordinary tourists: wandered through the gardens, stopped to admire the view of the valley and saw all the splendor and splendor of the monastery.

The visit was the family’s first moment during their vacation in Mallorca which was welcomed by the press. Leonor and Sophia arrived on the island last Sunday. King was already there a few days ago, among other things to train for his Koningscup, an annual sailing event he participates in. King also had an excellent day of competition on Monday: in the so-called ORC 1 class, he and his crew sailed their Aifos500 boat to provisional second place. However, things won’t be entirely carefree for King Felipe, as he will trade his time on the water with his royal duties in the coming days.

Members of the Spanish royal family are staying during their vacation at their country house in Mallorca, known as Marivent Palace. The palace is located near Cala Major, not far from the capital, Palma de Mallorca. The domain is no less than 33,000 square meters and is surrounded by lush gardens and pine forests, providing the royal family with all the privacy to relax during their summer holidays. However, they also mingled with the locals: photos of the family already appeared wandering the streets (shopping) and children were also seen during a trip to the local cinema.
