Jeff Bezos plans to donate most of his capital to charity | Abroad

Wouldn’t Jeff Bezos be one of the richest people in the world? Just maybe. The Amazon founder plans to donate most of his $124 billion to charity. He told CNN that. He is eager to use his vast capital to save the climate and help people who are fighting social injustice.

Bezos is the fourth richest person in the world. The American is currently doing well with a fortune of 123.9 billion dollars, which turned out to be about 120.5 billion euros. Bezos’ assets are largely tied up in shares of Amazon, which have plummeted in value over the past year. However, he was not yet specific about his generous talents.

The former Amazon chief has commented on the fact that he doesn’t give large sums to charities. For example, he did not sign an appointment with the hundred richest people in the world to donate most of their capital to charity.

Earlier today, it was announced that Bezos will award the “Bezos Award for Courage and Civility” to singer Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton also received a $100 million prize. The billionaire announced the award with his partner, Lauren Sanchez. Ms. Sanchez described Barton as “a woman who gives with her heart and leads with love and compassion in every aspect of her work.”

Many billionaires have previously promised Bezos to donate a lot of money to charities. So did Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, big investor Warren Buffett, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, among others. MacKenzie Scott, Bezos’ ex-wife, has also been very generous since the divorce. She has donated billions of dollars to charities in recent years.
