According to the British Ministry, several Russian reservists were likely killed while digging trenches around the town of Svatov in the Luhansk region. The British state indicated that the Russians came under fire from the Ukrainian forces.

Around Pashmut, in the Donetsk region, many mobilized Russians were said to have died in direct attacks on strong Ukrainian positions. Earlier, Ukrainian President Zelensky also reported that large numbers of Russians had been killed around Pashmut.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, based on information from the intelligence services, the Kremlin is very concerned about the families of conscripts. The authorities in Moscow fear protests over the conditions in which the crowd find themselves.

The deployment of reservists is accompanied by “confusion about their eligibility for military service and inadequate training and personal equipment”. In addition, they must “engage in extremely stressful combat missions.”
Most, but not all, of those mobilized had previously served in the military. Indeed, the examples show that “it is extremely uncertain that their medical condition has been properly investigated and that many are compelled to serve with serious, chronic health conditions.”
