Even at the height of its popularity, Minecraft is one of the greatest games in the world. This makes it an excellent opportunity for those who want to take advantage of the brand.
Unfortunately, off-brand mechanization is something that will never be banned, but Microsoft and Mojang have taken action against another way IP can be exploited: NFTs. The use of non-fungible tokens and other blockchain technologies within Minecraft or similar by companies is strictly prohibited.
Several companies had already announced the Minecraft NFT, which they wanted to sell without licensees’ permission. The copyright infringement that unfortunately characterizes this sector of the Internet. It remains to be seen if the Microsoft ban will put an end to that. But since open trading is getting more and more difficult now, it at least makes them less attractive.
