Axel Witsel did not miss his debut in the Spanish capital. The Red Devil was snatched from Dortmund by Atletico Madrid last summer and quickly grew – in fact central in defence – into a powerful stand. Witsel is immediately awarded Player of the Month.

At Atlético, Witsel slipped back, leaving his usual position as a defensive midfielder for a place in the center of defence. With success: Witsel quickly became the primary pawn and was satisfied with some great performances.
The Red Devils are now being rewarded for their excellent start with their new squad with the Player of the Month Cup in August. He speaks fluent Spanish, and thanks fans and teammates on social media.
