Former Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, has slammed President Donald Trump. “His reckless words put my family and everyone in the Capitol at risk.”
“President Trump made a mistake,” Mike Pence said in a speech at a dinner party Saturday night. This is the first time the former vice president has openly criticized Trump. During his speech, he detailed the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. The stormtroopers targeted him, among other things. They demanded that Pence sway the election results in Trump’s favor.
“He has no right to change the results of the election,” Pence said. “His reckless words put my family and everyone in the Capitol in danger that day. “Donald Trump is responsible for that,” he said. He calls the day in question a ‘shame’. “Citizens have a right to know what happened that day.”
Pence has been mentioned as one of the possible candidates for the Republican presidential nomination. The man was vague in his speech. He said that he will fully support the Republican candidate in 2024. “Even if I am.”
