The Russian Foreign Ministry has threatened to expel a journalist or media outlet from the United States if it blocks another press conference from the YouTube ministry. A warning about this has been sent to the American video site.
Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said some of her weekly presentations have been blocked by YouTube. In those press moments, he shares information about the war in Ukraine, which Russian officials describe as a ‘special military operation’.
According to the Russian news agency TASS, Zakarova was adamant in his words: “If another presentation is blocked, a journalist or American media will go home.”

The spokesman also targeted the Polish media. Referring to the appearance of YouTube superstar Susan Wojcicki, Zakarova says, “Everything is controlled by a Polish woman.” “Given Poland’s position, we should not stand in the United States.” Like the Americans, Poland is strongly opposed to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
YouTube has removed several accounts from pro-Russian media since the start of the Russian invasion. Western countries have also taken action against the Russian media. For example, channels like RT and Sputnik are no longer viewed in some countries.
“Friendly Actions”
Zakarova’s comments follow a recent change in the law giving lawyers the right to close foreign media offices if a Western country is “unfriendly” to Russian media outlets such as RT and Sputnik.
According to Zakarova, action is being taken against the Anglophone media for such “unfriendly acts”. She did not talk about this in more detail.
