Samsung Galaxy A52 is getting the March update

The Galaxy A52 5G is getting the March update today. And that while the Galaxy A52s is still waiting for the One UI 5.1 update.

Galaxy A52 March 2023 update

In February, the Galaxy A52 received the update to One UI 5.1. In the same month, the Galaxy A52s will receive an update with only a new security patch. Now, almost a month later, the A52s still aren’t receiving One UI 5.1 — but the A52 is already starting to hit the patch of the month.

The 272MB update is now available for the 5G variant of the device. Firmware version A526BXXU2EWB5 includes the March patch. In addition, the changelist also promises that “Device behavior has been improvedIt probably means something like: “Any bugs in One UI 5.1 will be fixed with this update (hopefully).”

The March patch also contains around 40 Android security fixes. One of them is labeled “Critical”, and is intended for phones with a processor from Qualcomm – such as the A52.

There are also 23 One UI improvements. Including security galaxy themeskeyboard , phone app, and the Bluetooth connection will be improved.

Availability and installation

The Galaxy A52 5G is currently the only one in the A52 series for which the March patch is already available. You can download it now on file Unbranded Device versions in the Netherlands and Belgium. Moreover, it is also available on branded Models from Vodafone and T-Mobile.

You can wait until you receive a notification, or check availability immediately via Settings -> Software update -> Download and install.

The A52 4G received the One UI 5.1 update a week and a half ago, but it still came with the February patch. So it was still in the March patch on the A52 4G and A52s. In addition, the latter should receive One UI 5.1. Hopefully this won’t take long.
