Season 9 begins next Thursday and is called Hidden Alliance. The season adds a big new boss named Captain Lewis. Players must kill four young bosses before confronting Louis to prevent the True Sons gang from taking over Washington, DC.
The new season also introduces a brand new mode called Countdown. Two teams of four players are given fifteen minutes to stabilize the nuclear power plant. Teams start at different places in the level and must work together to overcome this challenge.
Those interested in experiencing The Division 2 can play the game for free Friday through Sunday on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect.
Ubisoft has also announced that Season 10 and 11 are slated to launch this year. The company previously announced that it is working on a free-to-play game in the series called The Division: Heartland, but almost nothing is known about it so far. It is clear, however, that the known elements of the chain must be preserved. This preserves the third person view. Also, players can play alone or with up to three other players.
