Sony introduces the loyalty program Playstation Stars

Sony introduces new playstation starsLoyalty program for the general public. Players can join this program for free and by doing the activities they get certain rewards and discounts. It’s a program similar to Microsoft Rewards on Xbox.

Examples of such activities include playing a certain game, winning trophies, winning certain cups, or even being the first player in Europe to win the Platinum Cup.

Members can also collect and redeem loyalty points for PSN credit and select products from the PlayStation Store. PlayStation Plus subscribers also get points for purchases they make in the Store.

There are also digital collectibles to collect, such as digital figurines of famous game characters. These have different levels of rarity and can be traded with other members. However, Sony strongly emphasizes that there is no further similarity with NFTs.

Sony is currently testing and rolling out this loyalty program in phases, just as with the new PlayStation Plus subscription. As a result, PlayStation Stars may not be available on all continents at the same time.

In addition to this program, Sony previously revealed Games coming to PlayStation Plus Extra in July 2022. These titles include: Ubisoft + New Classics.
