This will cost a new tablet

We’ve been waiting for it for a long time, but the price of the OnePlus Pad has finally been revealed. In addition, we now know the cost of the most important accessories.

Read on after the announcement.

This is the price of the OnePlus panel

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus Pad back in February, but then discontinued the price of the device. Months later, we now finally know how much the brand’s first tablet will cost: 499 euros. So you get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are no other variables. Also, the pad only appears green. The tablet can be ordered from April 28th.

Additionally, OnePlus markets a number of accessories. For the OnePlus Stylo, which is a stylus that you use to make sketches (notes) on the screen, you have lost 99 euros. Want your keyboard cover to turn your tablet into a laptop? You pay 149 euros for it. The regular covers also seem to protect the €59 OnePlus Pad.

OnePlus Pad competes with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series, but of course also with IPAD from Apple. In terms of specifications, it’s a bit short between the entry-level models and Pro variants of those brands.

For example, the OnePlus tablet has an 11.6-inch Full HD display with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. As a result, the picture looks very smooth, especially if you are playing optimized games. Unfortunately, it is a traditional LCD screen, which can never offer as good a contrast as OLED screens or small LED screens.

Great specification for the price

However, the OnePlus Pad offers excellent specs for its price. The beating heart is the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor. This fast chip is similar to the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 found in the OnePlus 10T. As a result, you can not only use the tablet to watch Netflix, but also to edit photos and videos. It is also possible to play heavy games.

The battery capacity is 9,510mAh, which means the Pad can be on standby for a month, according to OnePlus. Charging is also very fast, at 67 watts. There is an 8MP front camera for video calls and on the back you will find a second 13MP camera. It is centrally placed, so you can’t easily cover it with your fingers.

OnePlus has been promising Pad support with updates for a long time. The device runs Android 13 and will receive three major Android upgrades in the future: to Android 14, 15 and 16. In addition, four years of security patches should appear that fix issues and keep hackers out.
