Interest on the NIBC Direct Flex account increased from 0.16% total to 0.50% total. Since this calculation only gives a base rate for each day there is an amount in the account and there is no fidelity premium if you keep the money for a year, withholding tax must be deducted. Then the net return increased from 0.11% to 0.35%.

On the NIBC direct loyalty account, the base rate increased from 0.05% to 0.10%, and the trust premium increased from 0.15% to 0.60%.

Nothing changes for the NIBC Direct Savings Account. The interest on this remains the legal minimum: a base rate of 0.01% and a trust premium of 0.10%.

Interest also increases on term accounts:
• 3 months: 0.01% becomes 0.25%
• 6 months: 0.02% becomes 0.30%
• 9 months: 0.03% becomes 0.50%
• One year: 0.45% becomes 1.60%
• 2 years: 0.75% becomes 1.75%
• From 3 to 8 years: 0.75% becomes 1.90%
• 9 and 10 years: 0.75% becomes 2%

These rates are on gross term accounts. So an additional 30% withholding tax must be deducted from this.
