Tejs: All comments on NUjij are moderated to check if they meet the requirements. However, I often notice that (my own) comments don’t post, or only after several attempts. This while I am sure they meet the requirements. Very unfortunate, because I usually put a lot of energy into it. What is the reason for that?
“It’s understandable that you find this annoying! We manage about thirty thousand comments every day, so we have a lot to process. Every now and then an error runs through. If you suspect your comment has been unfairly deleted, email us at [email protected] With NUjij’s username and the article you replied to. Then we’d love to see you with you.”
“By the way, it doesn’t make sense to post your comment again. It actually costs us more moderate work, so that your comments and those of others have to wait longer for evaluation. But sending an email is very welcome.”
Reader: Could there be more transparency about moderation? Some comments will be rejected and will not be published without some comments.
We’ve been getting this question from many readers. We’d also like to see our policy be more clear and transparent to readers. We’re currently looking for a tool that will immediately indicate why a large percentage of removed comments are not being posted. I don’t know yet if this is The tool will already be there, but of course I hope so, and as soon as possible.
