About 50 kilometers to the north in the Onikisubat region, the ground shook at a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale on Tuesday and again ten minutes later at a magnitude of 4.1. The quakes, with the epicenter at a depth of about 10 km, caused much panic, but no damage was known to have occurred.
