Antwerp started the battle for the Champions Qualifiers center stage, but with Ghent and Anderlecht at just one point, there was no margin for error at The Great Old. So a bright start for visitors should not come as a surprise.
Fifteen minutes later Ohio Lovin took the lead. Botiz stood up to a surprise free kick by Mercier and also blocked Shrevers and Tamari’s shots. In the corner, the goalkeeper was hit with a head by Ozkakar, but the now-poster saved Antwerp.
OHL continued to pile up errors with chances. Mercier offered De Norre, Tamari and Maertens a big chance, but they always twisted the neck. In Antwerp, it was almost impossible to believe that the score was 0-0.
Shortly before the end of the first half, the home team received a corner kick. After a header from Bataille, the ball got stuck in front of the goal and Seck was there like chickens to slam 0-1 into the goal.
Priske dropped Miyoshi and Almeida in the team in the second half and entered central defense with three plays. This conversion has paid off. OHL was allowed to tap the ball smoothly, but Antwerp hardly gave any.
The visitors also did nothing offensive, just as they did in the first half. However, the score was almost 0-2, but Nainggolan collided in the last stage with a great save from Ronarson.
