Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 can be played for free this weekend

Publisher Activision and developers Sledgehammer Games and Raven will launch Season 3 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone this week. Both games will receive a lot of new content including new maps, modes, operators, weapons, events, zombies content, and a new battle pass.

To celebrate the launch of Season 3, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be available for free on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series to participate in the Free Weekend. The free weekend begins on April 4 and runs until April 8, 2024.

During the free weekend, players can start with 6 maps including Das Haus, Stash House, Rust, and the brand new Emergency map. Five main modes are available to players who try the free trial, including the new Capture the Flag mode. Additionally, free trial players can start in Modern Warfare Zombies and Hordepoint mode, which takes place on reworked maps, including Tetanus, Stan's Quarry, and Skidgrow. You can basically access all of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's modes except for the single-player campaign.

To participate in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 free trial, you may need to download the entire game. This comes out to just over 130GB on PlayStation 5. If you've already downloaded Call of Duty: Warzone, your download total will be slightly smaller.
