Data breach at holiday park group EuroParcs, scale still unknown | Internet

EuroParcs found a data breach in the holiday park group's secure digital environment. The Dutch company, which is also active in Belgium, is investigating the volume. It is not yet known what data was leaked.

EuroParcs warns that there may be an increased risk of personal data being misused, for example via spam and phishing messages. “We ask EuroParcs contacts to be extra alert on this matter in the near future,” the company says.

The leak was quickly discovered and the affected part of the IT system was immediately disconnected. The system was then rebooted using a secure backup.

EuroParcs focuses, among other things, on the sale of holiday homes to individuals and business investors. The company also rents out homes and has holiday parks in several European countries. In Belgium, EuroParcs has holiday parks in Mull and Zoetendaal.
