At least forty people were killed in a tanker truck explosion in the African country of Liberia. The car left the road in Totota, central Liberia, on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: “People from the area came to the tanker to transport gasoline.” “Some crawled to the roof and used iron bars, but that caused an explosion.”
According to a medical official, more than forty people died. In addition, dozens of injured people were transferred to hospital. According to Doctor Francis Kate, it is difficult to determine the number of dead because the bodies were badly burned.
In an initial assessment, the police assumed fifteen people were killed and thirty injured.
