Jabra introduces the Elite 10 and Elite 8 Active headphones

Jabra announced two new sets of wireless earbuds at IFA in Berlin. The Jabra Elite 10 has Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking. The Elite 8 Active has, among other things, a waterproof case (IP68). Both headphones will be available from mid-September.

The Jabra Elite 10 is the more advanced of the two earbuds and supports Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking, among other things. To produce powerful sound, the earbuds are equipped with 10mm drivers. Both headphones also have three microphones that are used for active noise cancellation and for “crystal clear conversations.” With ANC enabled, the earbuds have up to 6 hours of battery life or up to 27 hours of total battery life with the charging case. The recommended retail price of the Jabra Elite 10 is €249.

Below is a summary of the most important features and specifications:

– Optimized for Dolby Atmos with Dolby Head Tracking, for an immersive Dolby Atmos experience;
– Jabra ComfortFit technology for the most comfortable, flexible and natural fit. The semi-open design relieves pressure on the ear and the soft silicone material ensures the earplugs fit comfortably all day long;
– 6-microphone conversation technology with advanced algorithms for crystal-clear conversations in any environment;
– Jabra Advanced ANC™ that blocks twice as much ambient noise as Jabra’s standard ANC;
– HearThrough™ technology with wind noise cancellation;
– Up to 6 hours of battery life and up to 27 hours with the charging case (with ANC turned on), suitable for wireless charging;
– IP57 rating;
– 10mm speakers for full sound;
– Hands-free voice assistant supported by Fast Pair, Swift Pair, Spotify Tap Playback, Siri and Google Assistant;
– Multipoint Bluetooth connection. Support for Bluetooth Low Energy (LE), LC3 and LC3plus codecs with future firmware update.

The Jabra Elite 8 Active is a set of earbuds where the durability of the earbuds plays a major role. The earbuds meet all the requirements of the US Military Standard for Rugged Electronics (MIL-STD-810H) and the earbuds are IP68 certified. This makes the earplugs resistant to water, dust and impacts. The charging case is also partially water and dust resistant (IP54 rating).
