Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars for the fourth time Showbiz

Jimmy Kimmel will host the Oscars again next year. The organizer, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, made the announcement on Wednesday. In response, Kimmel joked, “I’ve always dreamed of hosting the Oscars exactly four times.”

The talk show host is an expert by experience: he has hosted the film awards show three times before. Kimmel, 56, hosted the Oscars in 2017, 2018 and 2023. His first time as host immediately resulted in a memorable show: when “La La Land” was mistakenly named Best Picture when it was supposed to be “Moonlight.”

The comedian is still far from the most experienced Oscar presenter. This is Bob Hope, who has hosted the show 19 times, solo or as co-host. Billy Crystal hosted the Academy Awards nine times between 1990 and 2012.

The 96th Academy Awards are scheduled to be held on March 10 in Los Angeles. Nominations will be announced in January.
