Adam Sandler stars in a new sci-fi film from Netflix, about an astronaut and his relationship with an alien alien.
In Spaceman, Sandler plays astronaut Jacob, who loses himself during a mission to the far reaches of the universe. The only thing that can help him is a creature hiding in his ship. This alien is voiced by actor Paul Dano.
The film is based on the book Bohemia Astronaut by Jaroslav Kalvar. The Czech author says that the book began as a short story about an astronaut who receives a call from his wife who wants a divorce. Then the story developed into something much bigger.
Chernobyl director
The film is directed by Johan Renck, who previously directed the Chernobyl series and others. The film also stars Carey Mulligan, Isabella Rossellini, Kunal Nayyar and Lena Olin. Spaceman can be seen on Netflix from March 1, 2024.
