The cities of Kiev, Lviv and Dnipro in particular were victims of drone attacks. The attacks were launched from the Sea of Azov and the Bryansk region of Russia, which borders Ukraine to the north. Eleven of the 16 drones were shut down, according to the military.

In Lviv, three drones could be shot down, the other three managed to destroy “non-residential buildings”. In Dnipro, a fire broke out after a drone hit “important infrastructure”. Four homes were destroyed and six others were injured. In Kiev, the Ukrainian military managed to shoot down all the drones before they could do any harm.
The drones that Russia used to attack Ukraine were designed in Iran. “Around 9 p.m., Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones,” the Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement posted on Telegram. Russia and Iran are military allies of the United States as a common enemy.
