You can easily spend a lot of money on the phone. Whether this is a smart investment is sometimes questionable. What do you get when you spend less? In this article, we have tested the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, a phone that is available for €299. Is it an interesting option or is it better to ignore it?
It is no longer crazy to spend a thousand euros on the phone. Nord CE 2 Lite costs less than a third of that. For €299 you get a phone with a large 6.59-inch LCD screen. This of course gives a less beautiful picture than the OLED technology you find on more luxurious devices. Nord CE 2 Lite has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, which is a less powerful chip than, say, the first-generation Snapdragon 8 that you find on more expensive models.
This model has a simple case made of standard black plastic. The phone weighs 195 grams, which is comparable to the weight of many other modern phones. The case of this phone does not have many surprises except for the headphone connector. So you are not bound by USB-C or wireless earbuds.
