Fans of the cute robot Astrobot have been waiting for a new game in the franchise for a long time. We haven’t had a new Astrobot game since the PlayStation 5 launched.
It looks like this is about to change soon. A well-known insider and leaker, Billbil-Kun of Deallabs, says he’s heard from sources that a new game is in development for the PlayStation 5. This game will simply be called Astrobot, making it likely that it’s a reboot of the PlayStation 5 series. The reveal will reportedly happen soon, perhaps during the upcoming State of Play or PlayStation Showcase. One detail that Billbil-Kun received is that there is a bot in the game that looks a lot like Astro.
“Among other information we have obtained, it appears that part of the game will be playable in an environment set in the heart of the desert. One of the new characters in this game will be a fennec fox in the form of a robot that shares some similarities with Astro.
Billbil-Kun is a well-known leaker who often provides valid information about projects within the gaming industry. For example, last week he shared the artwork for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Billbil-Kun also often knows about new monthly PlayStation Plus Essential games before Sony officially announces them. So Billbil-Kun has a very good track record when it comes to rumors. However, we recommend taking all rumors with a grain of salt, as nothing has been officially confirmed.
The latest Astro Bot game is available for all PlayStation 5 players. Astro’s Playroom is a 3D platformer that comes pre-installed on every PlayStation 5 console. It is a colorful 3D platformer that makes excellent use of the DualSense controller’s advanced features such as 3D audio, haptic feedback, and adaptive triggers.
