BenQ has introduced a new portable projector that looks a lot like a Bluetooth speaker. The device also comes with Andorid TV, which means that it supports well-known streaming services directly through its own TV apps.

BenQ GV30 . Projector

BenQ is a well-known manufacturer of computer monitors and projectors, among other things, and they have released an eye-catching new product. When you look at the GV30, it looks like an average Bluetooth speaker, but it does come with a built-in projector and Android TV support. That is, it is in fact an all-in-one entertainment device, while weighing only 1.6 kg, this writes Android community.

It is important to know that the projector does not have a built-in battery, so you connect it to mains power. Then start the projection. You can set the angle up to 135 degrees and you can choose the image size by yourself. A screen between 80 and 100 inches is recommended. The picture is in HD and the GV30 projects with a brightness of 300 ANSI lumens. There are two modes: one for daytime portrait and one for night portrait.

Android TV and Audio

Then use the BenQ app to use your phone as a touchpad to control your Android TV. You can then use apps like Netflix and Disney Plus, just like any Android TV. Another option is to cast directly from your phone, and of course you can also connect devices via the two HDMI ports, or with USB-C

If you’re watching a movie or series, the sound will reverberate from the GV30’s built-in speakers. The device features dual 4W speakers and an 8W tweeter, and the speakers are designed to direct sound in different directions. In addition, you can also connect a phone via Bluetooth to use the GV30 as a speaker.
