Ukrainian bombing partially destroyed a major bridge in the city of Kherson which was occupied by Russian forces. This was announced by the occupiers on Wednesday. Ukraine launched a counterattack in the southern region.

The Antonovsky Bridge, in a suburb of Kherson, is strategic and important for supplies. The occupiers also expected a referendum to include Kherson and the neighboring Zaporizhia Oblast.
