West Ham hunts again for Hans Vanaken (29). The English club has already made an offer of 10 million euros, but Club Brugge mocked it. Blauw-Zwart is not willing to cooperate in order to transfer from his powerful carrier.

West Ham’s interest is by no means new. In September 2020, it already made a solid offer – more than 15 million euros – for the midfielder. He was very charming and seriously considered it, but Klopp didn’t listen to him and gave him an improved contract until 2025 as compensation, finally making up with that, because in Brugge he played for trophies after all. Also at the beginning of this year, during the winter transfer season, the Hammers thought the Red Devil.

The fact that Vanaken is now a target again has a lot to do with manager David Moyes, who has been a fan of his profile for a long time. After the failed start to the Premier League (0 out of 6), the call for reinforcements has also increased again. West Ham are busy with the arrival of Emerson (Chelsea) and Thilo Kehrer (Paris Saint-Germain), but they want Vanaken for more attacking power. He realizes that it is difficult to entrap him, and indeed: this seems an impossible task. An offer of 10 million was completely inadequate, and even at Club, going out at this Mercato seems out of the question. This is understandable, given that Charles de Kettleri has already gone to Milan and Noa Lang also aims to move.

Vanaken just pointed out that despite being a father – he recently became a father – he is still open to traveling abroad. “Even with a kid, you can settle for all of that these days,” he told us. It could also be his last chance to sign a long-term contract with an English mid-level/excellent player – he reached the Europa League semi-finals last season. It makes sense that he would listen to that again. But if it depends on his club, he will stay in the position again. Just wait to see if West Ham have raised their bid dramatically and if that changes anything. (DVD)
