More than 100 Brussels Airlines planes are supposed to take 12,500 passengers to their destinations tomorrow, but 56 of them have now been grounded. 3,500 passengers were affected.
Flights within Europe are being canceled in particular, because Brussels Airlines can easily provide alternatives via airports or other airlines. The airline says it has contacted all passengers to find a solution. If you do not reach your destination tomorrow, your money will be refunded.
Brussels Airlines employees – mostly pilots and cabin crew – are on strike because the workload is too high, and they think there isn’t enough money in return. But Brussels Airlines cannot meet all the unions’ requirements, as they have been in difficult papers for some time.
Passengers with questions should contact the company’s customer service.
