The excitement of the World Snooker Championship! Neil Robertson wins 147 but gets out | noticeable

Mixed night for Neil Robertson at the Snooker World Cup: The 40-year-old Australian scored a rare breakout max of 147 points, but was eventually knocked out in the second round after a crucial frame against host player Jack Lisowski: 13-12.

It is not often that a player completes a frame in one session with a maximum of 147 points.

Neil Robertson hit his 12th break maximum on the table during the World Snooker Championships at the Crucible Theater in Sheffield.

Robertson will net £40,000 (or £47,552), plus another £7,500 (or £8,916) for the highest-grossing breakout in the championship.

Maximum breaks at the Crucible Theater

  • Stephen Hendry (Sch): 3 times
  • Ronnie O’Sullivan (Ing): 3 times
  • Ali Carter (m): 1 time
  • John Higgins (Sch): Once
  • Neil Robertson (Australia): Once
  • Cliff Thorburn (Canada): Once
  • Jimmy White (Eng.): Once
  • Mark Williams (Wall): 1 time

Lisovsky is still great in the end

It will be little consolation for Robertson, who was the frontrunner before the tournament. Robertson started the evening session 7-9, which included his fifth career – 147 as he turned the tables. He came in 12-11 and scored 52 points in the 24th frame, but Lisovsky was still able to win.
