However, ANGE could not clarify whether John de Mol deliberately not told the truth in January, or whether he was not fully informed in 2019 by The Voice’s creative director and business leader. According to presenter Tim Hoffman, several sources told BOOS that production management was aware of Rietbergen’s misconduct anyway.
In the new episode, the makers of “BOOS” showed how they tried to get feedback from the then-production department for “The Voice” and John de Mol, but it looks like they hit a wall.
De Mol already announced yesterday that he declined a conversation with the makers of “BOOS”. According to his own account, Talpa’s chief asked if he could examine the material in advance which would show that he was aware of several reports to Jeroen Rietbergen.
“We then sent a transcript of a secretly taped phone conversation and a number of messages,” de Mol said in a statement. “The identity was anonymised and the transcript of the recorded telephone conversation was edited. Because of this, the conversation was not understood. This made it difficult to respond.” He also described it as a “false accusation”.
