A Russian soldier has been arrested on suspicion of bludgeoning his commanding officer to death on a train. This was announced by a Russian military court. The soldier had been drunk at the time of the facts and was at risk of 15 years in prison.
The accident occurred on December 23rd. The sergeant and his commanding officer, who were drafted into the army during the last mobilization, were on an army train near Chelyabinsk when they clashed. The former attacked the boss and hit him several times, resulting in death.
According to a press release issued by the military court hearing the case, the sergeant was drunk when he attacked his commanding officer. “The accused is charged with an offense under Part 3 of Article 334 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Assault on the Chief, ed.)He will have to appear in court and risk a prison sentence of 5 to 15 years.
This is not the first fatal incident involving Russian soldiers sent to Ukraine during the mobilization announced by Vladimir Putin. Earlier this month, a soldier choked on his own vomit, and in September, soldiers also died under strange circumstances.
