Elise Mertens and Su Wei Hsieh qualified for the doubles final at the WTA Finals. The Belgian-Taiwanese duo settled into the semi-finals with Japanese pair Oyama/Shibahara.

Shoko Aoyama and Ina Shibhara were the second seed in Mexico, but the Japanese duo clearly did not match Elise Mertens and Su Wei Hsieh in the semi-finals.
